I wrote Boulevard to Mexico in December of 2001. I really don’t remember my inspiration or motivation behind this song, except I know that I wanted to do something that wasn’t a typical Jamon song. This definately achieved that. This recording is with my former band (autumnSoul) in November of 2002.

These audio archive recordings were pretty much done by running the sound system through the computer and capturing the audio using Cool Edit Pro (now Adobe Audition).

I wrote White Sands in June of 2001 while on a mission trip in Cancun, Mexico. I know, I know … Cancun, right. We actually stayed in a hotel right on the beach in Playa del Carmen, then bused into the residential area of Cancun, where living conditions were very minimal. This recording is with my former band (autumnSoul) in November of 2002.

I’ve been listening to this song for the past week or so. I really enjoy it. Listen to more samples and buy the disc over at RagamuffinSoul.com

I normally start actively listening to Christmas music around October, but I love listening to it anytime of the year. I’ve heard a lot of good renditions and new originals this year, and thought I’d throw my $0.02 into the Christmas music list. Not that these are the best of all-time or the best of the year or whatever; these are just a listing of individual songs or CDs of Christmas music that I have really fell in love with over the past 15 years … (and no, I’m not 20 years old – I just don’t count the first 10 years of music choices as my own … and I’m not 30 either – yet).

In no particular order:
