Meet the Abercrombie'sJamon … Jen … Taylor … Jordan … KC … Abbie (and a few others sprinkled in)

Went to a Royals game last night. Got some great tickets. They have a sweet weekday play pack where you get 4 tickets down the left field line plus each ticket comes with $5 in “extra value” to use towards concessions or memorabilia AND it comes with unlimited access to the new “outfield experience” where kids can hit on the “Little K Field” and run the bases, they have a speed pitching booth, they have a live batting cage, a place to run from a real first to second, plus they have a mini golf course that is baseball/Royals themed, a carosel and a little playground all in the outfield behind the fountains.

Now, if you remember Kauffman at all, you should remember that the outfield behind the fountains was blocked off … now, they have seating integrated within the fountains with a walkway all the way around the out field. They also used to have two megatron boards. Now they have removed both and replaced with a massive single video board with the crowns on top. New video boards around the ring of the seats and even new video boards lining the outfield fence.

It’s a great new renovation. Very nice. I also got some video of the stadium.

Taylor’s game wasn’t as hot (only mid-90′s), but Jordan’s game was brutal – 104!!! You can see in the last photos how red and hot his face got … and then he got blue Gatorade and a blue popsicle which made his mouth and lips blue with his red face … he looked bad. It was as much fun as you can have playing T-ball in 100 degree weather.

You’ll see near the end of this gallery that Jordan is writing on a softball. Each game they choose a Player of the Game and Jordan was the PotG this week, so he got to sign the ball.

We had our first car show at church this past weekend. Over 250 cars and motorcycles from all ages and classes. Very, very, very cool cars. Here are some photos of the boys with some cars.
