[audio:http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com/audio/First%20Noel.mp3]I’ve been listening to this song for the past week or so. I really enjoy it. Listen to more samples and buy the disc over at RagamuffinSoul.com
I normally start actively listening to Christmas music around October, but I love listening to it anytime of the year. I’ve heard a lot of good renditions and new originals this year, and thought I’d throw my $0.02 into the Christmas music list. Not that these are the best of all-time or the best of the year or whatever; these are just a listing of individual songs or CDs of Christmas music that I have really fell in love with over the past 15 years … (and no, I’m not 20 years old – I just don’t count the first 10 years of music choices as my own … and I’m not 30 either – yet).
In no particular order:
- Third Day “Christmas Offerings“
- Various Artists “Happy Christmas Vol. 1“
- Kenny G “Miracles: The Holiday Album”
- Various Artists “Jump Swing Christmas”
- Carlos Whittaker Band “A Ragamuffin Christmas“
- Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Christmas Canon“
- Trans-Siberian Orchestra “All the rest“
- Todd Agnew “Do You See What I See?” (I actually haven’t heard this one, but Todd is a friend, so I’ll list it anyway)
- Veggie Tales “The Incredible Singing Christmas Tree“
- Ray Stevens “Christmas – Through a Different Window“
- Jars of Clay “Little Drummer Boy“
Whoa! Weren’t you just born? My oldest turned four today. One minute I’m in college, traveling the country playing NCAA baseball and leading worship and playing concerts … the next, we’ll I’m still leading worship, but I’ve got two kids, responsibility out the ying-yang, and I really can’t account for all that happened between then and now.
